VIGIL OF PENTECOST CELEBRATION
The diocesan celebration on the occasion
of the Vigil of Pentecost this year will be held on Saturday, 14 May, in front of the Naxxar Parish Church, at 8.00 p.m.
The solemnity of Pentecost is a reminder
of the occasion when the Church, in its beginning, received the gift of the Holy Spirit and reached out to preach the Gospel.
An Archbishop’s Curia circular calls
on Maltese Christians to unite together, on the occasion of the Pentecost, to thank God for the continued renewal of the Church
in Malta, through the Holy Spirit.
This year’s theme is “Together
in a renewed Church through the Holy Spirit”.
The programme for the Vigil of Pentecost
starts at 7.30 p.m. with an animation phase. A Concelebrated Mass, led by Archbishop Mgr. Joseph Mercieca, starts at 8.00
p.m.
